We’re excited to invite you to take part in a community salt firing this November!

The Clay Co-op is firing up our salt kiln, and we’re opening it up to studio members, students, and local ceramicists who want to experience the beauty and unpredictability of a salt kiln! Salt firing creates unique surfaces and flashing effects that can’t be achieved in oxidation firings. This is a great opportunity to share kiln space, experiment with surface effects, and celebrate the tradition of atmospheric firing together.

Details:

Drop off your work by November 9th in order to participate
Date: The kiln will be fired up November 12th
Kiln: Gas kiln, cone 6 salt firing

Shelf Space: Each reservation includes a 10x10x8” shelf in the salt kiln. Need more space? Reserve additional shelves!

Participation:

• Pieces must be bisque-fired and ready to load.

• Cone 6 clay bodies only

• Space is limited, so sign up early!

• Optional add on: glaze your work with our glazes for just $15!
